Education: Marine Biology Internship Program
Interns participate in relevant, substantive environmental science research projects under the supervision of The River Project science staff, with guidance from professional researchers who are recognized experts in their fields. Approximately 250 high school and college students participated in the Marine Biology Internship Program in 1989-2006, studying urban wildlife, habitat, and local water quality (see the Research section). In 2005, an external evaluation funded by the National Science Foundation found that the program met its goal to increase students' interest, knowledge, and skills in marine science and urban ecology.
Until further notice, we are not accepting applications for the Marine Biology Internship Program due to space limitations.
